That’s the annual global carbon footprint of humans today. Generational differences play a crucial role in shaping this number, with distinct patterns of consumption and lifestyle contributing to variations in carbon emissions.
Each generation’s habits, from energy use to transportation and shopping behaviors, leave a unique mark on the planet.
Millennials and Gen Z are leading the way in adopting more sustainable practices, while older generations remain pivotal in shaping large-scale change through policy and infrastructure.
Understanding these trends isn’t just about comparison—it’s about learning how to bridge gaps and drive collective action for a greener future.

Phony Quote of the Day 🗑️
|
“It’s not going to make any difference to global warming or the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere if people eat pure steaks. It doesn’t matter. It’s irrelevant. You can totally eat as much meat as you want.”
Elon Musk
|
In a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, host Joe Rogan and tech mogul Elon Musk dismissed concerns about the environmental impact of meat consumption, claiming that eating fewer steaks is "irrelevant" to global warming.
This spreading of climate misinformation isn't a first for Elon Musk. He has tweeted before that farming has no impact on climate change, and that killing “some cows” won’t make a difference for the environment.
Among global industries, agriculture is known as the fourth biggest emitter of greenhouse gases. This places it behind energy, transport, and manufacturing. Continuing to produce cattle at the rate we currently do will have negative impacts on our climate by contributing significantly to global warming.

The Unknown Footprint of ✈️
|
Wizz Air’s unlimited flight subscription has been making waves, offering budget-friendly options for frequent travelers. But what’s the environmental cost?
While convenient for passengers, this model raises concerns about increased greenhouse gas emissions, over-tourism, and resource strain. Addressing these challenges is critical as the aviation industry grapples with its environmental responsibilities.
